Campaign: Colossus Campaign - Operation Black Talon

Operation Name:- Operation Black Talon

Initiation Phrase:- "Zeus"

Summary:-

Operation Black Talon is an Operation which will be conducted in order to rescue three Prisoners Of War [P.O.Ws] which are ranking Officers of the New International Alliance. This makes them V.I.Ps. Your mission will be conducted under the cover of darkness. The main mission goal is the do what you can and rescue these P.O.Ws without any of them being killed in the process. This is to be a quick and clean Operation. Leave no survivors. Destroy any ordinance or anything else you can find with heavy explosives.

Briefing:-

Alright Boys and Girls. Listen up. I was contacted yesterday by Battalion HQ in order to tell us that we have run in to a little problem. Three High-Ranking Officers were shot down earlier this week by Mageran Anti-Aircraft weapons. This being a sent out message to everybody in to the area which was a distress signal. Our boys in B - Company found the aircraft. But they also found plenty of Dead N.I.A Officials which were on board of the ship. Those bodies have been recovered. But three people were not found. It seemed as if the Magera had already picked them up. So this must of been an already planned raid with Mageran Intelligence.

This is a problem for all of us at this side of the Colossus line. The people captured are vital to the Colossus Operation. We need to do what we can in order to get them back to our side of the line. We can have -NO- fuck ups during this Operation. This alone could get us in to trouble if they are killed before we get there. So we will have to be careful.

Intelligence has told us that the Officers are located in Sector G. This holds a canyon with not much inside it but a large outpost. An Outpost which also goes underground, And a small village. Around you will be pretty much desert. You will all be dropped in at night by your pilots when they get the briefing. You will then have to walk at least a good few miles before you get to Sector G with noise discipline. We can not risk the enemy knowing that we are here.

What we do know is that the Danger Level of this Operation is high. The Magera know -Exactly- what they are holding and they've brought a lot of people for the show. So that means there is going to be a lot of guards, and a lot of guns. Vehicles also due to some other intelligence reports we have heard about this area.

Not much is known about the Village near the outpost. It is believed that the Village is completely abandoned. But do not risk it if it has any units inside. But unless you know you can clear that village for yourself. You can take it to Establish an LZ for your pick-up. For both Officers and yourselves.

There will be no assistance for you boys and girls going in there due to how much we really need these Officers back. You will find them by their photos below which will be given to you soon. No assistance means, no Artillery, No Air Support. No Vehicle Support. Nothing, you're on your own on this one. Be wise. Failure to do this Operation could also result in your death. So get this done with Minimal casualties.

// OOC - This Event will be conducted next weekend. Preferably during next Saturday. It will be late, at normal times when everybody is on. If anybody can get on earlier, then the event will commence. More details will be up during the week. And during the Week IC preparation such as Briefings and training will also happen. Alright, It looks like we finally got Intel on what we are looking at.

Our Mole which we currently have inside the base has risked his life in order to get you this Intelligence, he's already sent it. So let us have a small look at it. Once the Initiation Phrase has been sounded, he will get out of the Compounds, it is then up to us to Secure the POWs. He has also found us some new Objectives, these will be updated on the main file.

Our Mole sent out a drone last night in order to show us what we're looking at. He was lucky enough to find one which also had Thermal attached to it so he can show us where we could expect them to be. According to him, their schedules do not change on their Patrols, so that's good news. We will be able to map out when to get all of us inside.

As seen, there are plenty of Infantry ready and waiting for us to move inside. So we will need to do what we can in order to move in without being detected. This will have to be discussed between the Breaching teams and others around them. Though. It is to be noted that the left side of the outpost is incredibly unguarded, apart from the patrol.. That could be our way in unless we have other choices to make.

It is to be noted by you all that the small shack which is located behind the main brick building is where one of the entrances inside the tunnels can be breached in to. We might need an engineer in there to do their job on disabling what they can inside the room. Due to the tunnels lead to a maintenance area. This could be useful for us to play dirty with.
